Politics Redux

Davis Bell has posted a political breakdown of frequent bloggernackers. (Along with a few remarks about how T & S used to gross him out, but we’ll let those pass).

Davis’s assessment is in, and it may (or may not) surprise anyone: I’m a liberal; Matt is a conservative; Nate is a cipher. The list includes quite a few well-known bloggernackers. Check out Davis’s list and (of course) register a complaint (with him, not me!) if you were left off or mischaracterized (he promises, err, prompt responses). A useful comparison tool may be found in this old T & S post, where many people posted their scores from a political quiz.

  1. Apparently, Davis Bell thinks I am politically uncategorizable. This is good, as it feeds my inner sense of profound complexity and sophistication relative to the rest of you. At last — objective evidence of my innate superiority.

  2. Aaron: I had a similar reaction to learning that I am politically uncategorizable. On reflection, however, I figured that it probably had more to do with the fact that most of what I write is incoherent.

  3. Aaron,

I was tempted to put you with the libs, mainly because you’ve attempted to subverting the law — okay, a commandment — in attempt to achieve racial justice. ;)

    Nate,

I didn’t know where to you put you mostly because I’ve never been to law school and thus to my simple mind many of your posts are the written equivalent of Charlie Brown’s teacher’s words.

  4. Well I felt all grossed out and flattered for being included at all. A dilettante’s delight.

Can’t believe you think I’m a dirty liberal. I looked at all the scores and it seems I *left* you all in the dust. Must concentrate on moderation.

  5. Right Reverend Right sounds about right. If you knew my hippie past (grew up next to a commune in the 1960s and early 1970s, voted for Jesse Jackson in 1984, once worked for the leftist The Nation magazine, lived in war-torn Nicaragua in the 1980s, still friends with some prominent leftists) it would blow my image big-time. I’ve seen the Dark Side, and it involves Gadianton leftists on the loose (as well as Gadianton rightists, btw).
